The preparations for the 7th World Journalism Education Congress, held at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis on August 8-10, 2025, are going very well. Registration is projected for mid-April. Next month the Congress website will go online, so participants will be able to find more information.
Apart from paper presentation sessions (call is closed), WJEC 2025 will include several Panel sessions and Syndicate sessions. Panel sessions are opportunities for expert panel members to address universal issues related to contemporary journalism and journalism education.
Syndicates are small, themed discussion groups that produce recommendations to help improve journalism education worldwide.

If you wish to submit a proposal, please read the respective Call, fill out the information in the given link (see the Call).
Finally, the Congress will also organize the election of the Host of the 8th World Journalism Education Congress in 2028. If you’re interested in hosting WJEC2028, please read the Call for Host very carefully here (deadline: 1/7/25).
