The ETJA board was actively present at the European Festival for Journalism and Media Literacy VOICES in Florence on 14-16 March 2024.
VOICES, the new two days’ Festival for Journalism and Media Literacy with hundreds of participants and speakers from all over Europe was an excellent opportunity for the EJTA Board to network. Being invited and funded by the VOICES organisation, the Board coordinated workshops, trainings and presentations.
Anne Leppäjärvi gave a presentation about EJTA and the Tartu Declaration, Nadia Vissers was part of the awards committee for journalism and gave a training in inclusive interviewing with Tiko Tsomaia and EUfactcheck was presented by Carien Touwen in a workshop illustrating the methodology and flowchart.
It was strategically important for EJTA to be so intensively present at the first edition of this festival and the organisation of VOICES deemed our presence very useful and inspiring. The next edition is planned for February 2025 in Zagreb: https://voicesfestival.eu/
