News Impact Summit is a media innovation events series that brings together international media experts with local news communities to focus on how new technology, tools and methods are changing the way journalists work in the newsroom.
Organised by the European Journalism Centre, and powered by the Google News Lab, this one-day free-to-join media event will look back on 2017; a year in which the relationship between politics and journalism changed forever. Under the theme ‘A Year is a Long Time in Politics’, the event will explore the questions: How did global political upheaval shape the way journalists covered the news? And how have evolving political, investigative and data journalism practices changed the face of politics? What will 2018 bring?
