February 23: International Symposium “Reclaiming the Digital Information Space”

The Institute of Communication Studies (ICS) organize the second annual international symposium, "Reclaiming the Digital Information Space," within the USAID Media Literacy project "YouThink.” The event will be held on February 23 (Thursday), 2023 starting at 09:30 am (CEST).

The event will feature speakers such as Irene Andriopoulou, Co-Secretary General of the International Steering Committee for UNESCO Media & Information Literacy Alliance, Paolo Celot, Founding member and Secretary General of EAVI, Jeff Share, Lecturer and Educator at UCLA, and Damaso Reyes, News Literacy Project’s International Consultant  – who will discuss different approaches to studying key media literacy issues, how media literacy impacts society, as well as the role of media literacy in promoting civic engagement and digital citizenship.
